Designed for beginner readers, Read at Home features all the popular Oxford Reading Tree characters in 12 exciting new stories specially written for parents to support their children's reading at home. These entertaining stories are carefully graded across 4 levels and contain built-in progression and vocabulary repetition throughout. Level 1 is for those children who can recognise their own name, match some words and recognise some letter sounds. These stories have a high degree of patterning and vocabulary repetition with one sentence per page. The series progresses through to Level 4b, for those children who can recognise 30-50 words by sight, read harder sentences with less support, and use sounds to make words. The Read at Home programme is accompanied by a handbook which provides parents with advice, games and activities to stimulate reading.
