Amazing quality at an amazing price. These give BOSE headphones I have owned some real competition! If you can live with the retro styling (which I kind of like) then these are the only headphones you'll need.

Totally different listening experience

These headphones are the best set bar none for anything near this price. The design is retro but totally functional and comfortable, and the clarity in the sound as well as deep base just blew me away. Oh and if you were in any doubt about the build quality, mine came with a lifetime warranty!!??

Great except for public spaces

Brilliant headphones for when no one else is around, but they have no back, no shielding at all and are as loud outside as in (for treble) so they - leak leak sound all around. My other Koss headphones have much stronger bass but that is not to everyone's taste. I would recommend newer designs by Koss instead - some sound just as good but are more practical.

Koss Porta Pro Headphones

The build quality of the Koss Porta Pro headphones are extremely poor and feel like they're ready to break any minute.
Regarding the sound, I bought these headphones for indoor use with my IPod. Due to the IPod's volume limitation you cannot turn up the volume to suitable levels. Infact I'd say the volume level is extremely poor and is definitely not good enough for dance and rock music, etc. This isn't usually a problem with in-ear earphones.
Although the sound quality is extremely good - good treble, clear and good levels of clarity - the bass is almost non-existent.
Over all, if you like loud music with good, deept bass then I'd look elsewhere. If you listen to quiet classical music or you enjoy listening to DAB radio then I see no reason not to purchase these. However, I'd be extremely careful when handling these headphones as, like I said above, the build quality is extremely poor and volatile.

PortaPros are the best!

These portapro headphones are excellent. The sound quality is excellent, with good bass and the range of sound is excellent. The sound quality is warm and well balanced.
The downsides of these headphones would be that the metal bands at the top can catch on your hair, the headphones look a bit cheap and not very visually appealing, and the sound isolation is extremely low.
In my opinion the benefits outweigh the disadvantages, the sound quality, comfort and the range of sound is great.
The headphones also come with lifetime warentee and the build quality is very rigid.
Get these headphones, you cant go wrong with the price and quality!
