I bought this mainly for the CD thinking that it would be help me with the language, I was wrong. There is a long spiel before the CD gets going so you think I will skip track one to get to the reason I bought this, but the spiel is attached to the basic expressions lesson! Meaning that every time you want to listen, you have to fast-forward 2 minutes to the start of the first lesson. Then they have 4 different people saying the phrases, which gets confusing, as one of them is the person who was doing the introduction. The spacing between phrases is very short in some places and longer in others. Also the way it takes you through the expressions it jumps in basic expressions from saying hello to "I don't speak much Czech" in less than 1 minute. Just hopeless!!! No repetition of the expression just one short burst so short it is very hard to rewind on the remote control. If anybody who is thinking of doing a spoken CD for Czech, and knows what they are doing they don't have any competition! The book that comes with it is fine and detailed so buy that on its own or the Rough guide one but not the CD.
