If your hopeless at drawing characters intertwined when it comes to love and romance this is a great book to own. It shows you how to draw characters kissing, hugging, holding hands, carrying, weddings, making out and other stuff xD;; This book also covers same sex couples which was nice to add. This book helped me a lot and I'm sure it will help you too!

A superb guide; a must-have!

I'm not exaggerating about this book being a must-have - it really is. It's probably the book I turn to the most. It's one of those books that both informs and inspires - you'll find yourself wanting to try out drawing the different poses as you read through it.
As far as quality, it's difficult to find any problems at all with this book. Drawings are clear and easy to understand, easy to follow, and there's just the right amount of text - not too much, not too little.
The content is amazing. Don't think that this book will show you just how to do romantic couples - it covers all combinations of people as well, from parent and child to friends. There's a fantastic amount of information about couples too, if that's what you're interested in. It's refreshing to see that same-sex couples are given a good amount of coverage. The "in the bedroom" section isn't as scary as it sounds either ;)
A brilliant book. Definitely, definitely worth the money.

I have to say this first; don' listen to all those people out there who critisize artists who buy How To Draw Manga books! It annoys me when people say that real artists don't use them - these books are fantastic and every artsist needs reference materials and you can't get much better then these books! They act as such a good source for drawing and they really do teach you how to draw properly!
Anyway onto this specific book! I found it very useful for how to draw couples in general. They have such a wide veriety of poses in different genres - for kissing, higging, holding hands and anything! Drawing two people intertwined can be very difficult - especially for an amature artist and it teaches you how to draw this - the techniques you learn will help you in all sorts of art.A good book to couple this with is Compilling a Young Love Story if you are interested in making a story to do with couples. If you are just trying to make single pictures then this book is perfect! xxxxx

This book really helps out people who have no idea how to draw intertwined characters (like me). It shows possibilites with all types of couples, and it's great for tracing as none of it shaded or coloured.

How to Draw Couples

This book is fantastic! I don't think they've missed anything out - it covers absolutely everything you could think of, from couples going on dates, hugging and cuddling, kissing, getting married, in bed (it's not too rude!), and same-sex couples (that's not too rude either!). And it's not all about couples in love - nicely, it also covers brothers and sisters, parents and children, and close friends.
This book is bursting with picture after picture and flicking through it you'll just want to grab a pencil and start drawing! The poses are great - Hikaru Hayashi is a brilliant artist and I hope to be that good someday!
