I have just spent 4 months in Berlin studying for the official German language exam "Zertifikat Deutsch". This tiny book explains the essential grammar to intermediate level (Level B1/B2) and is a total godsend for English speakers. Other German and English language grammar books are more comprehensive (Hueber and Hammer books) but this one makes the subject so accessible.
Covers the major topics consisely and beautifully: adjective endings, tenses, conjunctive, the passive, prepositions and subordinate clauses. Best 12 Euros I've ever spent - if you are learning German then this is the book for you!
