Everybit as good as "Gone With The Wind"

This is a book I cherish and have read several times, these are my thoughts and feelings. Kathleen Woodiwiss created her most memorable characters when she wrote "Shanna". Ruark and Shanna both annoy the reader with their duplicity whilst at the same time making you laugh and even cry. There are times when you would love to give Shanna a good slap and others where you feel like giving Ruark a swift kick. Kathleen has been able to drawn the reader in and enabled them to live the story of Shanna through the personna, that they wish to observe the unfolding tale from. Kathleen has an extreme talent in being a weaver of tales that allows the reader to relinquish the everyday problems of life to become totally emersed in another time and place. A superior read which I will continue to read over and over again. EXCELLENT!
