Presently I'm following Atkins Diet Revolution, and continuing with Induction. I'm no where near goal, however I bought this book because I was curious, and I wanted more information. I'm not sorry in the slightest! There are inspirational stories of people who have lost weight, with pictures too! There's a description of the science behind the plan, but without the chapters of waffle. And wow, how fantastic to read the lists of food one can eat once reaching goal, virtually no food is forbidden, fruit, apples etc, potatoes, wholegrains, legumes, pasta etc may all be eaten moderately. This is written for the american market. The meal plans for increasing carbs by 5gs per week are great but some of the food is typically American, so be prepared to subsitute, and that is the same advise for any low carb american cookbook! Be prepared to find subsitutes and to tweak the receipes. Atkins for Life, is definitely worth buying if you reached the stage where believe you will follow this way of life for good, then this is definitely a book to enlighten you to the fact low carb doesn't mean bacon and eggs for breakfast every day!
