Fascinating account of a hidden world in our midst

This is a really interesting book, which takes us inside the head of a man who likes to spank and cane women. All his "victims" are consenting and most of them have a taste for punishment. Sometimes it gets sexual, and he tells us about that (perhaps in a little too much detail for my taste). But often it doesn't, and that's where I found the story most interesting. "Spank Daddy" is the perfect complement, from the male side, to Niki Flynn's "Dances with Werewolves (Memoirs of a Spanking Model)". Peter Jones tells the story from the perspective of a dominant man, while Niki Flynn tells it from the perspective of a submissive woman - but both are intelligent and literate and both are very good storytellers. "Spank Daddy" is told in plain words and is perhaps more visual, with more sexual detail - more male-oriented, in fact - while "Dances with Werewolves" is written in a more literary style and goes further into psychology and the origins of kinky female sexuality. But they both have a fascinating story to tell about the desire to administer and receive punishment. They both describe a subculture that has recently hit the headlines (Max Mosley versus the News of the World) and seems to be much more prevalent than anyone outside it realised. Definitely a pair of books to be read one after the other!

A revelation!!

This is a fascinating book as it reveals a world that is usually hidden. Like many people I was curious about spanking and found this book informative about technique and motivation but also a very sexy read. That may seem strange as he doesn't always have sex with his clients but I think most people would struggle not to find themselves aroused and intrigued by the end of the book.
