Amusing, but a bit repetitive

It's pretty difficult to review a book like Thick Villains. It's not a novel, so you can't comment on the plot or characters or how much you "enjoyed" it, as such. This book is a series of true anecdotes about yes, you've guessed it, thick villains. Good for a laugh, this book is crammed full of stupid criminals, and unbelievably daft things they've done. Or not, as the case may be.
People (from the UK) that listen to Heart FM may already be familiar with these stories, as they've been featured on Heart's Breakfast Show, with Jamie Theakston and Harriet Scott. I'm not a radio listener, so most of these were completely new to me. And admittedly, they're very entertaining and some had me chuckling at the sheer idiocy. For example, people have actually called the police to complain about being sold "bad crack." Just shows that drugs rot your brain, folks.
Anyway, as I said, there's not much else you can comment on with a book like this. But if you like the idea of laughing at other people's misfortune, or more accurately their stupidity, then look no further. You'll be left open-mouthed with disbelief at some of the dummies in this book. Perfect for people with a warped sense of humour. One thing I will say, though, is after a while you'll find the book a little repetitive as some of the stories are quite similar. If you can get it on sale, though, go for it!
