A simple guide
|
In today's business world we need to constantly adapt. As Bill Gates stated you need to reinvent your business every 7 years, why is this relevant? Simple, the way we do business is changing faster than most can or indeed want to keep pace with. We need to embrace networking like never before, we need social skills that are non existent in the techno world... We need to speak to others and maybe step way outside our comfort zone.
This book takes you on a journey to discover how to network and do it well. The book is well written by an individual who is congruent with his teachings...
I read many books and I have recommended this book to my own network!
Enjoy.

Enjoyable read and useful reference

The book is split into two separate parts, the first written by Andy on networking and the second by Peter on public speaking, with two distinct styles of writing. It's rare when an author tells you his book is going to tell you what you already know, although even if you have some knowledge of the content this book is an excellent way of reinforcing your experience. If you are new to networking then it explains the not only the "hows" but also the "whys". Once read, keep it by your desk for reference - the networking section in particular is written in such a way that you could easily speed read a few points before an event as a quick refresher. Great value and an enjoyable read.

Essential reading for all networkers!

This book is more than just a guide to the shy and anxious. In a very simple way Andy and Peter have explained how anyone can improve the way they are perceived in the market place through networking and public speaking.
Reading this book has definitely improved that way I network with people and I am seeing the results already.

Invaluable and a Good Read!!

I just couldn't put it down. Instructive and enjoyable. Both Andy Lopata and Peter Roper clearly know what ther're talking about and they bring the subject alive with an easy writing style and lots of stories. I've just started reading the book a second time.
A 'must read' for any business person and very helpful for anyone who has a fear of meeting new people or at risk of being asked to 'say a few words'.
Having read the book I just had to sign up to hear Andy Lopata speak!

It does what it says on the Box

The first thing that ...and Death Came Third gave me was the reassurance that the majority of people all go through the same reservations and fears when making a start in the world of Networking and Speaking in Public and secondly, the realisation that we're not all necessarily `born to it'.
Being relatively new to the world of Network Marketing it has given me a brilliant start, there is definitely something for everyone and I'm sure it would be realistic to say that some ideas we will use and some we won't - given our own unique personality styles.
In a relatively short space of time I have become more confident at both Networking and Public Speaking and put this down largely to the many tips and suggestions given in the book, and then obviously getting out there and practising them.
The anecdotes are excellent and I feel that Andy and Peter between them both, have certainly captured and in turn given to us readers, the basic recipe for successful Networking. It's definitely one of my many books that will be read over and over.....
