This is an amazingly detailed and comprehensive summary of the evidence for life after death, written from a very rational perspective. I defy any open-minded person to read this book without coming to the conclusion that there must be some form of survival beyond the body. I was always a little dubious about the idea of life after death but after reading this book I have to conclude rationally that there is something. As a result, I feel I have a new view of life and of reality.

This book is a "must read" regardless of whether you've read alot of other books on the subject or it's your first look into the subject. David Fontana is extremely knowledgeable having researched the subject for many years. It provides a comperhensive overview of some of the many experiments and research into the phenomena which have been carried over the years using language which is easy to understand. The author presents the evidence and leaves the readers to make up their own mind. If you only ever read one book on the subject, make it this one.

Essential reading for all `mortals'!

David Fontana has managed to produce a comprehensive, highly readable and balanced account of some of the best evidence for an afterlife. The book is well organised, easy to read and manages to tackle an enormous wealth of subject matter with apparent ease.
Fontana's professionalism, experience, knowledge and wisdom shine through.
The author's approach tends towards the conservative, always exploring alternative explanations where applicable. However, he doesn't shy away from drawing a firm conclusion in the book's final chapter.
This excellent overview will probably remain the benchmark work for many years to come.

Is There An Afterlife - it certainly looks that way!

This is a book of rare quality. It is intellectually stimulating and exhaustively researched but at the same time an unputdownable read. The subject is dealt with systematically with each chapter covering a different type of experience. The weight of evidence presented in each of them leads the reader to the all but inevitable conclusion that there is life after death and that personality survives. It is by any definition a truly excellent book. It is certainly an important one. If you only read one book this year, make it this one.
