I learnt some French at school, but I always got confused with the grammar because I was never taught English grammar. I holiday in France quite a bit and I knew that I needed to brush up on my French so I joined an evening class. One of the other students recommended this book. It explains all of grammar points that I could never get the hang of like how can you tell if a French word is likely to be masculine or feminine? What are accents for? The book is really easy to use, everything is explained in simple words, with lots of examples and exercises to make sure you've understood what you've learnt. There is also a CD that I now listen to on the way to work and on the way to my evening class to practice! This book is a real lifesaver and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
