Surprised to see this one back in print. It's not a very mature piece of Moorcock work. Still, if (like me) you're a fan of the space rock band Hawkwind, you might enjoy it. It'll insult your intelligence - it reads like a DC comic plot - but it's an enjoyable retro-romp. Captain Calvert and Baron Brock ride again, just like it was back in the seventies. If you like this, watch out for 'Time of the Hawklords', the prequel. There was an attempt at a third volume, written by a fan a few years ago in graphic novel format. It was beautiful art, but I don't know if it made it into print. Think it was called 'The Ledge of Darkness'.
