Enjoyable chemistry!

As an aromatherapist undertaking further study at University level I found this book invaluable. My understanding of chemistry was dire but this book, written for aromatherapists, beauticians, retailers and students, will appeal to everyone, whatever their level of chemistry understanding. It covers basic chemistry, hydrocarbons, functional groups, essential oils and carrier oils, odour properties of essential oils, quality control, isolated and synthetic fragrance materials, perfumery, personal fragrances and a wonderful chapter - 'Burning the Midnight Oil' which includes how to get the best from your studies, exam tips and model answers. The glossary is extensive and invaluable as a quick reference source and the index is comprehensive.
In a nutshell this is a chemistry book which is simple, concise and, at times, humorous. A book I would not be without.
