If one book should describe gay life in the end of the 20th century, this is it. With an energy and a witty dialogue, we get to follow the ex - couble on there ride through a USA poulated with extremes from right wing politicians to gay terrorists. Even though the novel handels a heavy subject as AIDS, it's done with such an brilliance and non-senitmental humour. If this should ever been adapted in to a film it would be the gay version of Thelma and Louise. Don't miss it.
