Another great read for all Francis fans

Francis, once again provides an excellent thriller in this book, Driving Force. The work centres around the life of retired steeplechase jockey, Freddie Croft and his business of transporting racehorses. The story and its events are not shy to begin unfolding from page one and there is are a number of twists and turns to the tale, many of which surprise and I didn't see coming!
There were many characters in this book but all play a significant part somewhere in the story.

All in all, a very good read. I've read about 8 of Francis' books now. This one wasn't the best, that one was Proof, but this is well up in the top 5 so far. Next stop, Trial Run.

Dick Francis at his best

With the usual background of horse racing, this book is set in the world of horse transporters. Although unfamiliar territory to most readers, violence and death soon make their presence known. This book should make it into all Dick Francis' fans top five.
