Customer Reviews:
Helping to cope
I bought this book when I was first diagnosed with MS and found it extremely helpful to come to terms with this.

I would recommend this book for anyone recently diagnosed or wanting to understand the condition.

Inspirational
Written in a very accessible style Carole's book focuses on her experiences with MS and more importantly her fight against MS. Therefore the book tackles the issues surrounding coping with illness diagnoses with a positive outlook not getting too bogged down with the nitty gritty details; dealing in a more general manner with the implications on individuals and those around them.

At a wider level Carole's story highlights the need for good social support networks when dealing with conditions such as MS. However not everyone has these readily available and so some readers may feel isolated from Carole's experiences. All in all the major characteristics most can relate to.

It Was Very Touching.
It was very touching, but seemed far removed from the every day person with MS. It may make you feel that you have to live up to such an image, but you don't. I think that Carole has done some wonderful things and presents a positive outlook on life. However, it may leave people feeling very frustrated with the own mundane lives and capabilities.

Very readable, no idea why it's not amongst the MS books.
