book full of silly suggestions
I don't agree with the previous comment at all. This book is full of silly suggestions like "get a compost toilet". Yes, there are lots of tips in it, some are even useful, but I've heard 90% of them before. Some tips just get repeated and others just made me angry.
She seriously suggests to keep all cats indoors all the time to save the cute little birds!
Cats just catch the weak and sick birds, survival of the fittest, that's the circle of life! We shouldn't lock our cats up at home.
If you want to go greener, you can have a look at this book, but don't expect any background information (e.g. why are energy savings lamps better, how does washing detergent affect the environment) and don't take it too seriously!

Esme Floyd shows us many small, yet effective ways to make changes around the home to be more environmentally aware and considerate. Most ideas are easy to do and implement and often it is only a case of being aware of them that prevented you from doing them previously. This book covers a wide range of topics such as, home cleaning, DIY, gardening, at work, your lifestyle, family life and general environmental ideas. The ideas are presented clearly and with nice little illustrations. This book is easy to dip into and refer back to when the need arises. A good first look at environmental concerns with plenty of great ideas to get you started.
