We all know the story - The wolf eats Grandma and takes her place in bed, Little Red Riding Hood comes along ("Oh what big eyes you have..." etc), then at the end the trusty wood chopper comes along just as the Wolf is about to eat Red Riding Hood and he saves the day by chopping off the Wolf's head. Not in this book!! They must think children of the next generation can't handle the 'real' version and basically have changed the whole fairytale - no-one gets hurt and no-one gets killed, Grandma and even the Wolf are perfectly safe at the end. It might be slightly less scary, but a big shame that the original fairytale isn't told. ADDITIONAL NOTE - The same is true of all of the books in this First fairytale Tactile Board Book series.
