The book charts gangster Norman Johnson's 'career' right from his formative years up to virtually the present day, and is a truly fascinating account. Frighteningly believable at times, it is by far the best book of its particular type that I have read. It is well written and soon becomes compulsive reading, and refreshingly, the story isn't told in the irritatingly vainglorious manner so typical of many criminal and hooligan accounts and biographies.
Well worth a look in my opinion.

This true and frank account of 'Scouse' Norman Johnson's life is unbelievable! I could not put this book down.
From a penniless young boxing hopeful growing up in Liverpool, forever being on the wrong side of the law, through some very dark and dangerous worlds eventually being accepted by a top Mafia family.
Respected by all and feared by many Norman Johnson has been,seen and done it all!
Liaising with gansters such as the Krays & Richardsons along the way through to showbiz personalities.
I recommend this book to everyone.

Bought this book after reading a review in the paper, I have read many true crime stories and this is without doubt :- a fascinating life story from the moment I picked this book up I could not put it down a most unusual gagster story that combines violence and humour with a romantic twist, buy it and you will not be dissapointed 9/10

I had the good fortune to meet Norman at a book sign.
A terrific life story, gripping, fearless, that took you into some dark places.
A life that was genuinely exciting, and conveyed a sense of time and clarity.
A most enjoyable read.

this book is unbelivable, i couldnt put it down, scouse norm has been blessed with an amazingly interesting life, i wanted to hear about the the criminals in his life and the dealings they had together what i didnt expect to hear was the humore that was linked to these people,it really is a fantastic read and i would recomend it to everyone
