Customer Reviews:
A must read....
...for all those people who think they are above being conned, lied to and profess to be able to put their head before their heart, please read The Bigamist.

What this woman has been through was mental cruelty in its truest form. But to me, the most amazing thing about the whole story is that it's told with a dignity worthy of admiration.

The only fault here was Mary loving and trusting someone and their wishes, which is what most people (I say most and not all people as you will understand when you build a mental profile of the man) all hope to have the ability to do in a relationship.

I cannot stress how much I enjoyed this book, a book that could only be written from truth as fiction would not be able to portray the empathy Mary shows everyone involved.

Inspirational wake up from a real nightmare
This is the most unbelievable story, but believe me - I have met the villain of the piece and was also taken in - it is all true.
I have the deepest respect for Mary TT facing ridicule and criticism for publishing this chronicle of how she and her family were completely conned and abused by an almost unimaginable monster - someone who seems to go all out to destroy and manipulate women and their (and his own) children for sheer entertainment.
The book is almost impossible to put down, telling a real story (that most script writers would have found hard to dream up) with honesty and humor.
There is some good advise on how to recognise danger signs, but also an enchanting example of an indomitable woman taking full responsibility to face the nightmare she found herself in and rebuild a civilised life for herself and her children. Mary truly is an inspiration to people everywhere (not just lonely women) on how to face disaster and get back on your feet to make the most of life.

This updated version of "The Other Mrs Jordan" is well worth reading, even if you read the original, as more detail, information and insight has emerged since the bigamy trial and the publication of the first book.
And Mary's writing style has also developed...I am looking forward to seeing more from this author although this is going to be tough act to follow.
same book
This is the "The other Mrs.Jordan" reprinted - a fact not disclosed by Amazon - i had to return it. Mary TT , please write something else!
Update of 'The Other Mrs Jordan'
'The Bigamist' is the updated paperback version of 'The Other Mrs Jordan' so it is worth reading the numerous 5 star reviews of that book to get an idea of what this one is like. There is additional information in 'The Bigamist' but it is elementally the same book. If you haven't already read 'The Other Mrs Jordan' then I would suggest it is better to buy 'The Bigamist'.
Two of the Same!
I found this very interesting but buyers should be aware that it has been previously published as "The Second Mrs. Thomson" as fact of which I only became aware when the order arrived - very small print on the back page and not mentioned by Amazon.
