Baffling....

Firstly i would like to say that i am a big fan of Penny Jordan. I have read many of her books and enjoyed them.
This, however, was not one of them.
I am actually left baffled as to weather or not she wrote this book, as well as the other two stories in the series.
It is just not her style.
The language, the lack of romance and sensuality was annoying and the dialogue between the two protagonists was awful.
Plus, there was a scene in which the hero discovers briuses on the heroin's arms caused by someone neither of them like, and nothing is done about it.
In fact seconds later there is a vulger conversation about spanking the woman's behind black and blue.
What?
This is not romantic. I am not a prude and i'm very open minded, but this kind of thing should be kept to a certain genre of books.
All three books involving the girls from Pret-a-party, were a huge disappointment to me.
I will continue to read Penny Jordan's books however, as long as they come up to the standard of her previous work.

A Disappointment

I never thought I would say this about Penny Jordan. She is one of my all time favourite authors. However this book was not, in my view, up to her usual standard. The story line was so far fetched it wasn't true. Now don't get me wrong we don't read romances because we want something everyday. If we did we would read non-fiction. We read them for relaxation and entertainment. This book did neither. Worst of all however was the decent into vulgarity in the language used by the protagonists. It's not necessary in order to tell the story. I'm not a prude, I like descriptive and fairly sensual storylines but the author has never needed to use such launguage in previous books to get her story across and I hope she never does again !
