If you like larger than life personalities telling brilliant showbusiness or theatre or television of film anecdotes then this is the book of the year! Christopher Biggins is a far more rounded character - in every sense - than you might imagine. His booming voice and sense of fun bounce off every page of this book - if you want a pick up then his joi de vivre will do the trick. He freely admits that he never took his life, or his career, too seriously (and neither, interestingly, did his friend Jeremy Irons). It's wonderful to read a book by someone who focuses on the good times, rather than competing to say 'my childhood was more miserable than yours'. Though the thought of Mr Biggins living in a caravan as a boy is a bit of a shock. Best, though, are all the good times. You can see why so many people want him around and why he's always flying off to some new party. Read this for the Queen, Laura Bush and Bea Arthur anecdotes alone. More please Mr B.
