Customer Reviews:
Conspiracy files rule ok?
Over the years I've read a lot of conspiracy books both good and bad. My 14 year old son has taken an interested in this too, and we got this book as it seemed one of the better ones.
We were amazed. This has to be one of the best books on conspiracy theories I have read. Each theory is put into a certain category such as murdered or missing? Tragedies Celebrities etc and is easy to use if you are dipping in and out of it.
I have to say it is very well written and most of the theories are plausible. Certain theories such as 9/11 and the death of Princess Diana really make you think. Whether you believe any or all of it, is up to the individual, but I think that if we sit down and think about things long enough anything can be looked at as a conspiracy and these will be flying around sooner or later.
If you have had bad experiences with conspiracy books in the past, don't worry. This has to be the best one I've read or seen on the shelves. It is funny at the end of each one where there is a sceptically speaking part. It is well worth the price and definitely well worth buying. And it is one that both me and my son have read, dipped into and we now have a well read copy
A fantastic book, well documented and researched with brilliant photos.
Reasons to believe and doubt...
David Southwell is a name that has become one to watch in the field of alternative history, thinking outside the box and Conspiracies.

This one of his earlier works is a perfect place for those who want to get a taste of both his amazing abilities to both shed new light on many already well known subjects and also get a flavour of his superb sense of humour.

Teaming up with Canadian Writer Sean Twist, the authors break down some of the best and infamous conspiracy theories into sections that will make you look at them with a fresh perspective. Offering many hither to unknown facts on Marilyn Monroe, The Kennedy Assassination, Microchips, Jack the Ripper and dozens of others, Southwell and Twist also give pause for though with their "Sceptically Speaking" section on all the Theories.

These are classic Southwell offering up such gems as "The King is dead. Get over it." On if Elvis is still alive. Written is such a concise yet humorous way even the true believers are likely to offer a chuckle at many of them.

Over all though the true purpose of this book believer or not, is to get you to think and question what you are told and this it does so very well.

So pull back the veil on the world you think you know and sit down and prepare to laugh, think and maybe learn a few things that will make you wonder things like why they really haven't found a cure for cancer yet...

Brilliant - a must have book
This book is brilliant. It is a must have for anyone wanting to read up on conspiracy theories. It covers everything from the modern world to the story behind JFK and alien abductions.

Once you pick it up, you won't want to put it down ever again. It contains a good varied selection of topics which include photos and other interesting content. It goes through the suspects behind each theory and the evidence behind it. The book is almost scary because of the depth that the topics go into but also cleverly worded with the author's dark and sarcastic comments throughtout the book.

It is well worth the money, everything you could ever think of packed in one, easy to read book. A must have for any person interested in conspiracy theories - don't miss out on this one.

It's like reading a book Bill Hicks would have written!
Wow. An easy five-star book. This is the conspiracy book that really stands out from all the rest of the bloated tomes clogging up the shelves. A fantastic, fun format is combined with real savvy write ups on not only the usual conspiracies, but some of the more unknown but lot more interesting ones.

Well written, there is lots of insight into the world - how the government really works, how the media really works and how all the secret agenda shape our lives. A lot of books that make you question authority are really po-faced, but there's some great humor in here and it's no surprise that this book is dedicated to Bill Hicks - it is exactly the type of conspiracy book he might have written.

Great looking with some amazing pictures, this is the book. One of the best I've read on this topic and certainly the funniest but genuinely scary book I've ever come across.

Bang Up-to-date, Bang on the money
If you enjoy conspiracy theories, this book is for you. It is one of the most entertaining, razorblade sharp and easy-to-read, general books on the subject that has ever been published. Whilst some of the photographic material is pretty standard, there are some incredible shots in this book that I'd never come across before - even in five years looking into some of my favourite theories on the net.

One of the great things about this is that it covers modern hot topics such as the murder of David Kelly (on that case it includes some amazing new material) and what the second war in Iraq/911 is really about.

Probably the best book to give to someone fairly new to the real stories behind the news, there is something for everyone in this book. If you are a sceptic about conspiracy theories, you will probably enjoy the acid, dark and often sarcastic humour the writers bring to the topics they cover, but if you are a conspiracy nut like me you'll enjoy a lot of the new twists that they have put into print.

One of the author's - David Southwell - is the subject of a lot of gossip in certain conspiracy circles after it emerged in a front-page Sunday Time's story that he worked with MI5 on terrorist issues. Amongst all the crazy stuff on aliens and Elvis, there are traces of a lot of inside knowledge about the world we aren't meant to know about.

My only gripes are that it could have done with some better editing in places and that the authors drop hints o things they were obviously afraid to publish (though they get away with exposing some amazing truths).

All in all, the most fun conspiracy book I've ever read.
