Lett's are normally and outstanding company who produce fantastic revision guides but this isn't up to their normal high standard. This book is aimed to cover all syllabuses but this simply is not true. I was taking the Edexcel syllabus and this revision guide misses huge sections out. One of the sections they missed out, Grignard reagants, was even on my exam paper. I am just glad I moved to the one from Nelson, written by the principal examiner of Edexcel. However what is in this guide is good. The use of colour really makes revision a lot easier and the explanation is great and easy to understand.

Good for last minute revision

If you are looking for a good last minute revision book, that reinforces key ideas, then this book is for you. I bought it and realised that a few chunks of my CCEA syllabus were left out, as with OCR and Edexcel, so beware. It deals with core principles in a clear and coherent way, but does not go into any great detail. I wouldn't recommend relying solely on this book, as it wont get you the high grade you want. Well worth the money though, buy it, but dont expect it to save you.
