Very useful

I found this book very interesting and more 'in-depth' than Louise Burnham's handbook. Yes, it is a bit wordy as the other reviewer put it, but with working at the NVQ 3 I find it very helpful to read a bit more into things, at times the NVQ Handbook can feel a bit basic I thought. This book just helped me to write some of my Knowledge Base questions with a bit more background, all of which can only help me in my TA role!

Not the most Essential Guide for teaching assistants

|
Sorry but this book was not the book I was led to think it would be. I found it all far too wordy and didn't refur to any of the questions in the standards for the NVQ level 3. I have "The Teaching Assitant's Handbook" by Louise Burnham/Helen Jones this has become my bible and the "Essential Guide..." has been put at the back of the draw.
