Customer Reviews:
K. G. MacGregor rules
K. G. MacGregor is one of my favorite writers of lesbian literature. Her plots are good and her language great. Also her characters are so good. They're 'realistic' and so is their fear and all their thoughts.

You'll find that you can't put this book down once you've started reading.

A Lifetime Crush
What would happen if you come back to your home town to see your folks for a while and that old crush you had on your lab partner in chemistry at high school is more alive than ever?

Carly Griffin is a few weeks back home waiting the date to go to her new working detination in Madrid. But she still remembers her old days in high school and what a bad time she had with some of her school mates. Justine Hall was not like them. She was her only friend actually. Until they had that situation in the chemistry closet and Justine did not behave the same anymore.

Over Twenty-five years later, Carly and Justine meet again and looks like nothing has changed but it has. Justine got married and had two children who are quite grown up. Then, she divorced and began to face what had been chasing her for years and started a Friday afternoon in a chemistry closet.

While Carly was away working all over the planet, Justine had to put up with the whole town after her divorce. She had to change her job, her two kids went to live with their Dad and finished seeing a therapist once a week to help her out.

This story starts when the two old school friends meet again. MacGregor does not only focus her book on the romance of the main protagonists. As she's a good storyteller, we learn many things on the people that are important in Carly and Justine's lives. We see what goes on in a local hospital, how Carly's parents struggle with their retirement, how open spirits as Daniel's show that your sexual orientation is not the main issue when you own the best Café in the whole town ... and how children grow and mature when responsabilities come along.

Without forgetting something that is important for all of them (and us): Love always counts wherever you go.
