not for the beginners

I bought Cisco ASA 5505 lately and didn't know how to configure the thing so I picked up this book hoping it would guide me through complete configuration of the device. Well, I ended up with buying another book on Cisco technologies (Cisco: A Beginner's Guide, Fourth Edition) which is absolute must if you have never dealt with Cisco before. I used to own Cisco 871 router and it was a charm to run and configure: easy wizards to run out of the box. Not the ASA and as a result not this book. You've really got to have some time spent with Cisco IOS prior to configuring something more sophisticated than 800 series. I gave this book 5 stars rating as I believe it contains extensive material on the subject especially firewall and security, but it won't guide you through ASA's setup initial wizards and configs as you might expect. I wish the author(s) included that part too since I was not really into buying and reading another 900 pages of how IOS started as I simply wanted to get things configured and running as with 800 series router and move on.
