20 patterns but I actually read the essays too
|
This book isn't exactly a pattern book - it's more like an exploration of why and how knitalongs happen. There are a mixture of historic and modern essay and case study type segments in between each pattern and then the pattern is linked to the subject of the text. There are some great things for you to do alone or as part of a group.
I was attracted to this book by the patterns I'd seen on Ravelry. But having bought it I've amazed myself by reading the stories that go with them and actually learning a lot. I'd recommend it.
