This book is American
|

Call me daft... but I didn't realise this book was American until I received it - I live in the UK. It has an amazingly detailed and comprehensive list of publishers and contacts, however they are all in the USA - great if you want to break into that market but pretty useless otherwise. The first half of the book however does have some universally good advice for the beginner writer/illustrator, what a shame it wasn't produced for the UK/European market.

A "must have" addition to any Children's Writer's bookshelf

I am a newcomer to writing for children, despite having written articles, short stories and poems for adult readers for many years. This book provided the knowhow for the tyro. I found out what market to aim for, which publisher to approach and above all how swiftly the market changed according to the age group. A first rate production
