When I bought this book I was looking for a general book on Urban legends...I became interested in reading more legends after watching the movie and this book tells them in short story form. A very informative and amusing read, good for anyone with an interest in folklore or the unreal. You will be suprised at how many of these stories you have heard before and still refuse to believe are false...You'll never believe another newspaper article again!

Every story you've ever heard is a myth...

I came across this book completely by accident. Buy this book and you'll realise just how many times you've beleived a story that was a complete myth.

I though I knew all the urban myths there was, but I was surprised (and embarassed) to discover I had been suckered in!

When I first found this book i was delighted. After watching the new film "Urban Legend" I became "Hooked" on these legends and stories. After reading the book I found that many stories that were suposed to have happened to a friend of a friend were included inside. I havent been able to put the book down since, it is easy to read and is split up into sections each containing a different type of story. A must for any "Legend Lover"

Fabulous

Craugwell creates an excellent book with classic urban legends, and others not so famous to make a novel worthy of praise. Even if it seems disgustingly hilarious at times. Any reader should be able to enjoy to a certain extent. I recomened this book for people who aren't afraid of a little "sick" humor.

Definately entertaining

I thought this book wasted no paper with an analysis of each legend.If you want fascinating stories ,you have over 200 in this book.Other books ressemble humanaties text ,which have you skipping through dozens of boring pages to get to the stories themselves.Alligators in the sewer, really had what I wanted -lots of urban legends,in one book.
