Good but sometimes far to mystical...

I bought this book as I have really only just started learning about the Tao and wished to read more about bringing the Tao into my daily life... this book certainly provides some great information about how to go about that unfortunately it also has some references to mystical (almost magical) actions and some anecdotes are a bit long and could do with some editing...

This book does have some very good information and explainations and is a nice read... as someone who is a beginner on the path to the Tao and also somewhat pragmatic I found this book did provide me with some good guidelines to following the Tao... you just have to read around the too mystical parts (of which there are not that many)...

Guru Alert

This is a guy who quotes Lao Tzu as talking about Tai Chi Chuan (which is about 200 years old). May appeal to Californian stoners but is about as far from the Tao as you can get

Very good book for starting taoists

This book is an anthology of Ni's many works with articles ranging from the practical to those of deep spiritual importance. It gives a beginner a good place to start and offers many different ways to acheive.

Ni is not a guru

This book encourages one to join the NI orginazations and spend a lot of money for "enlightment" Mr NI puts himself out at the only person that "knows" I really find this disgusting and will buy no further books by this so-called guru

Basic primer on the Tao but not much else

I was looking for something a little more in-depth and easy to apply to my every day life. This has the basics of the teachings of the Tao, but not much else. A good place to start, but you will want to find something more detailed
