Customer Reviews:
See How they Run
One of the worst books I have read by James Patterson. Not his usual style
See How They Run
I'm a great fan of JPs writing - always beautifully written; and most of the time his ability in developing characters are second to none - even the ones that are relatively poor are still gritty enough to ensure that the reader has to finish the book.

However this book is poor. The characters are one dimensional, unbelievable and incredibly superficial. As for the plot - absolute nonsense. Except for writing this review, I have made every effort to forget that I ever picked the book up. Luckily I have read enough James Patterson books to be forgiving.
Thanks
As an avid JP fan - I will avoid this book at all costs after the reviews. If you want thrillers - Martina Cole is a fantastic writer and so is Maggie Hudson who I have just recently found - Looking For Mr Big is great and so it Nowhere to Run
See How they Run
This book is the WORST book I have read of James Pattersons. Compared to Jack & Jill, When the wind blows, Cat & Mouse (etc) this is pure drivel!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. The story is extremely far fetched and Mr Patterson you have not done any justice to yourself.
Finally I actually find the book distateful as it kept referring to Arabs as 'sick' and Nazi lovers!! This is, I'm sure, boardering on fictional racism!!
See this book and run a mile
This is a truly awful book.

Most James Patterson books have the following formula - in fact - he's probably patented the software that rights them i.e. short , bite sized chapters, easy to read leaving you always wanting "just one more page" - a bit like fishing really, just one more cast before home for tea...and you eventually arrive home at midnight only to wear the lovely dinner that was waiting for you 3 hours before. This book has all these factors, except the last. As each page unfolds, the drivel gets worse.

They also have an attractive girl who turns out to be a demon. Now in my experience most attractive girls do turn out to be demons but that's besides the point. You never quite know which side the girl is on although more often than not it's the wrong one. And yes we do have the attractive (unbelievably so) girl.

Onece you have the attractive girl, you need the attractive guy to fall in love with her so he can get hurt when she turns bad. And yes, whilst we don't have big cuddly Alex Cross, we do have Mr Very Attractive guy.

The leading couple then have great sex. They DO have great sex. This time in a mountain pond - now, you tell me guys - all the mountain ponds I've been in have been freezing - causing the nether regions to withdraw towards the abdomen. Oh and er yes, the girls always have great breasts - this lady, Alix - is no exception, although after being in the mountain pond they were probably a bit more "pointy" as they were frozen.

They have a plot. Now, whilst I expect fiction to be just that, I do like thrillers to border on reality...y'know, it just might happen. This one, Jews pretending to be neo Nazis killing Jews ... words at this point fail me.

Lastly, you need a few FBI agents. Yes, they are there too. this time they are in Germany itself, protecting Mr and Mrs Very Attractive Couple, guns waving....oh dear.

If you've read this far you know I did not like the book. It's awful. It has the recipe but the ingredients are decidedly off. It was one of those books that "I've started so I'll finish". That's it really. In fact, if you want an early work by a decent author - check out "Jig" by Campbell Armstrong. Can anyone recommend a really good thriller? I'm in need of one after this dross.

I couldn't post this with "no stars" - or a negative number - Amazon systems don't allow it - but it's about -5 - same temperature of the mountain pond.

Save your money. DON'T buy this book!
