Valuable Resource

As a therapist I have found Dr Newton's books an inaluable aid for my own work in regressions/progressions. And, I do recommend his books as an introduction to what lies beyond our preceptible physical world to clients, friends and acquaintances - who wish to make up their own minds.
The point here is less about whether one believes what he writes is unshakeable proof of existence beyond our senses but that these experiences open up new vistas on life and our own purposes. Even if none of it were true, one could still gain immensly from such insights.
It should alos be taken into account though that the symbolism used by Dr Newton in his descriptions is just that, symbolic represenation. It is to be safely assumed that we lack the vocabulary to express and describe things which are out of our knowledge or understanding but which we can witness on an emotional or intuitional level. You can see things, but there is no guarantee that the description you use ever matches the expressed intent of what you witnessed.
Thus Halls of Records and other descriptions are symbolic means to describe a store of patterns and experiences that may in reality be of a different feel and 'look'. We may also not see with eyes in those dimensions, but instantly know about the characteristics of what is communicated. Assumning that the experiences recounted in the book are visual, one has to be careful with claiming accuracy in those terms. We all know that the brain relates automatically to conjecture of what something could be, rather than what is.
A very helpful book for all who wish to satisfy a yearning for further knolwedge and a good resource for professionals. Well written and in easy prose, the content is made accessible to everyone.
Highly recommended.

Quantitative and Qualitative - profoundly life changing. A precise description of reincarnation.

Starting off as a sceptic, having been scientifically trained (and indoctrinated) with a PhD in Chemistry I began a journey some seven years ago having been hit by a personal trauma.
In this journey I leant about spirituality, the concept of souls, their purpose in life, love, healing and got some understanding of why bad things happen to good people.
I have found lot of books and teachers along the way but none affected me as profoundly or deeply as Michael Newton's two books Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls.
The reasons are simple the books are more clear, easy to understand and precise (almost scientific in their explanation) about a subject that always seems a bit foggy when written about by psychics. Journey of Soul is compulsive can't put down reading and helps explain why bad things happen.
Final note I strongly suggest you do not read Destiny of Souls before Journey of Souls, as it is a lot more detailed and at times even tough to read, especially as the concepts will be unfamiliar.

Facinating

I found this book to be an excellent read and would strongly recommend it to those who, like myself, feel drawn to the subject of the afterlife etc. After reading the first chapter I could not put the book down and, in fact, I have now started on the author's second book, Destiny of Souls. Very enlightening

Didn't ring true

It started well, all very convincing until I had read about 20 odd case studies and realised that I was hearing (reading) the same person speak all the time. I'm not sure if the transcripts were changed at all for the sake of "good read", but the subjects seemed just a tad too chatty. When asked a simple question they would elaborate to the enth degree which is not indicative of a person under hypnosis. While I'm a spiritually orientated person and no beginner to this subject, I'm sorry, it was all a little too utopian for me.

A one-sided view, does not go far enough, Modi's work is bet

The information presented in this book about the so-called spirit world is actually describing the astral reality - the 'Middle Place' as our Gnostic ancestors referred to it - where 'lost souls' end up, and how they are 'reincarnated' as per the wishes of the Archons or Astral lords who control this reality. The information presented here has nothing to do with the true spirit world where the soul should end up in the afterlife. At least Dr Modi's work (see Remarkable Healings) with regressive hypnotherapy goes a little further, and shows how these 'lost souls' Newton is describing are actually responsible for many of our past life experiences and some of our pain and suffering. However, Dr Modi's work still does not go far enough as some of her work is still describing this astral reality, though it is a vast improvement on this particular work. For people interested in this subject there is a wealth of information to be had from these type of books if only they are able to put the information presented within them into the right context. To help the reader understand what can happen to the Soul in the Afterlife, and appreciate the work of Newton & Modi more, they should read Shopping For Spirit The Search For Truth Parts Seven & Eight at www.equilibra.uk.com - see Articles section. This information is free to print out, and although I do not agree with 100% of it, the content will undoubtedly help people to understand the relationship between the soul and the spirit and how we can resurrect the soul in this physical lifetime, thus avoiding the many pitfalls that await it's journey after death. These articles will also help people to understand the work of Newton and Modi and other similar writers from a greater spiritual perspective and make these books an invaluable source of information, and also hopefully help the soul in her journey into the afterlife. With love, Jimmy
