The war is based on the American War of Independence, and has the theme of commoner vs Sidhe, I will admit I was hoping for more of an American Civil War theme, with House vs House.

I feel that Fool's Luck, the way of the Commoner has given enough information on the commoner vs noble conflict, and would recommend that book over this one unless, like me, you want to own as many changeling books as posible.
