The best I've read on online networking/job search!

The maxim, "Knowledge is power," comes to mind after reading Rebecca Smith's book, Electronic Resumes and Online Networking (Career Press, 1999). This book is truly a wealth of information . . . with it, job seekers will be armed with the power to create content-driven Web resumes, negotiate the maze of the Internet, and connect with like-minded job seekers, as well as recruiters and employers. The author is a crack researcher and knows her topic inside and out. This book should be required reading for any job seeker who wants to know how to use the Internet to advance their career! Other books cover more and in more detail.

There just is nothing new in this book. None of the information is bad, mind you, it just a rehash of similar titles. It never goes beyond the obvious.

The content and technical how-to's are in this book! Writing, programming and posting a web resume can be a major challenge. Rebecca Smith is a great help if you take the time read and study her words. It will be worth it because being able to post and share your resume through a simple URL in an email is THE WAY TO MARKET YOURSELF ONLINE! I recommend this book highly! Kathryn K. Troutman, President, The Resume Place, Inc.; Author of four resume books and creator of web resumes!

While there are many books about job finding on the NET. Ms. Smith's book is written for the average person not the net-head. You'll learn how to navigate the net and bring home the information you need to become a successful online candidate!
