Top notch account of jazz birth and development

First class account of the birth and developmemnt of jazz from the Louisiana swamps to the multi-platinum album taking in the many branches of its family tree along the way to present a full, informative and interesting profile of the genre and its roots.

Book leaves out critical information....

I bought this book blind, not knowing just how much the auteor may know about his subject and was dissappointed to find out that that was not a great deal.

The author ommited such greats as Wolfgang Dauner, Pedro Ruy Blas, Edwin Lehn, Bora Rokovic to name just a few, instead sticking with obvious names like Zawinal, Ponty etc.
