This is the 3rd in the series of The Hord Wars - and it keeps getting better and better. The 1st book introduces you to the Shikar warriors a race of beings who live near the earth's core - they are our guardians from the evil Daemon Hord who would destroy and feed from on us.
Book 1 - Ravenous - is the story of Obsidian and Cady. Obsidian is the leader of his elite group of Shikar Warriors and Cady a human warrior who fights the Hord! All Shikar warriors have special abilities and powers - Obsidian can teleport and sense when the Horde are about. Cady has physic ability which also allows her to sense the Hord. She also surprises the Shikar by being able to throw flames!
Book 2 - Wanton Fire - is a story about Cinder and Steffy. Cinder's power is in his ability to throw fire. Steffy is not without ability herself and has the ability to sense the immediate future.
Book 3 - Razor's Edge - is a story about Edge and Emily. Edge can propel knives from his body. Emily, unlike the previous women in the first two books has no psychic abilities...
The sizzle with the main characters and the story will keep you glued to the book until you finish. The secondary characters are just as intriguing and I am particularly interested in a story for the "traveller". The funny moments will have you in stitches - I particularly liked the shopping list given to Cady by the rest of the "Shikar family"!
