I received this yesterday, and used it last evening to fairly good effect! It made me aware of things I'm really really angry about from the past and gave me a way to channel my anger. It's also got me right back in the mood for some angry heavy metal music I used to be into - ie. get back in touch with safe and harmless ways to channel anger and therefore avoid its tremendously harmful effects if left alone.
An important note to make is that it has put me in something of an irritable mood today, but I would say that this is part of the healing/releasing - I'm quite happy with this to be honest as long as it;s fruitful, and so I can still do my meditations and spiritual practice! I've clearly surfaced things long forgotten about but that have continually affected me, and for that I'm already most grateful to Louise Hay! I look forward to continuing to let it out!

Louise has a nice voice and a sympathetic manner, and the cd is comforting for that alone, but when it comes to safely releasing anger I don't think it works. The trouble is that when someone hurts or thwarts you what you really need is an apology from that person, and a sign that they understand how bad they made you feel. Closure isn't something you can get on your own, it's not like self-confidence or inner tranquility, it's an external problem, not internal. I found that after the cd I was more rage filled than before because I'd reminded myself of all the unfair things done and said to me. If you are angry it's better to either batter a pillow or resolve the issue with the guilty party or listen to a relaxation cd and try to forget all about it.

In looking at Anger Releasing, Louise Hay provides a powerful exercise for you to begin to dissolve your anger - no matter what the situation. You get the opportunity to think of different people you are really angry with and use the exercise with each person. Go on begin to think who has made you angry in your life and buy the tape so you can begin to heal the anger. After all, anger is an emotion that needs to be expressed - don't run away from it. It is okay to express it and even better to rid yourself of it, before it has the potential to over impower you...
