Foley is not good, he is Amazing
|
After reading all Mick Foley's Autobiograhpies and then his first Novel 'Tietam Brown', i could not wait for the release of Scooter. Although i was nervous as having read Tietam Brown 5 time and not getting bored or being able to put the book down each time, i wondered if Foley could great another brilliant tale of highs and lows, that pulled at heart strings and made you laugh out loud.
Well i tell you now, he has indeed done it again. Scooter incorporates all the great things about Foley as an author and is fantastic to read.

Definitely not what you'd expect from a wrestler

I bought Tietam Brown a year or so ago in a bookshop - a decision based entirely on the cover. I had never heard of Mick Foley, so my opinions weren't at all pre-formed, it just looked like an interesting book. It was fabulous, but very painful to read in places.
This is a book with a baseball theme, written by an American wrestler. How could it ever hope to be any good? Well, I tell you it is good. Great. Another focussed study of a very difficult childhood. I recommend this, and Tietam Brown very highly. Keep up the fiction Mr Foley - no matter how good a wrestler you were, you must be better at writing.
