AMAZING! A really really good book, I'm not a big reader but when this was recommended to me I couldn't put it down from the first to the last chapter, I was hooked! Although the book displays the sad experiences Sandra Crossley encountered, it is truely inspirational to see how she battled on through and came out such a strong person to achieve her dreams! Once again although the book is very emotional (it will have you crying several times!) the writer is very whitty and brings humour in to it making it all the more gripping!

I sure hope there is more to come from this writer.
Friday's child: what has she done that is so terrible
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. For those of us not abused throughout our own childhoods, reading books like this, make us feel utter despair that children and young adults can be treated like this. To know that Sandra has come out of this stronger is amazing, my many congratulations to her for achieving so much.
My only critisism (which is just probably my natural curiousity) is that Sandra did not include at the end what her career had been. Also I would have liked to have known what happened to Alan, "her girls" & son. Had they made a success of their lives too.
Friday's Child
A very moving, articulate account of the sad life of a child/young adult let down by society.
I do hope there is more to come from this author.
Excellent read
A friend recommended me this book, as I read and enjoyed David Peltzer.

I found the book both funny and sad at the same time. The author managed to portray a positive feel.

Well done!

One of the most inspirational books you will ever read
I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book, which may seem a strange thing to say given its subject matter. I have recommended this book to anyone who will listen! I found it very uplifiting, carried it everywhere in order to read a bit more when I could, and basically couldn't put it down!

Sandra Crossley paints a very clear picture of her early life in the voice of someone who has learned to let go of her past and even forgive those who did her a terrible injustice. I feel that this book must be truly inspirational to anyone who has gone through difficult times and come out the other end of it a changed person.

However, it was the final chapter "Reflection" which had the tears running down my cheeks! I sincerely hope there is another book inside Sandra Crossley - I shall be first in the queue to buy it if there is.
