Dr. Harlan and his alter ego Chef Harlan have put together an imaginative, instructive and delightful book. Full of facts important to dieters and diabetics, such as the undersigned, it is full of clever recipes that are rich in taste and therefore good for the psyche, but also good for the soma. I have served to my own guests Harlan's Oven Fried Chicken (page 23) to raves -- moist, highly flavorful, crisp outside. I recommend this beautifully laid out, gorgeously printed book to any one interested in health, nutrition, and excellent food. In short, to any interested in life!
