The best and most practical book on SLR cameras
Fits in my camera case, in the smallest pocket- no problem! Easy to read -the Mary Berry approach to SLR camers, straight to the point! It has all the information I couldn't find on any of the more expensive books. An excellent, "how to", "what does that do", "what do I need to take better pictures" guide. Totally love it. It will be my constant companion wherever I go. Essential for SLRs digital or film.

Well worth the money

This book has been much more useful than some because of its conciseness and size. The photos are in black and white but this does not matter. The parts on portraits and landscapes are good. Well worth the money.

Really handy book
This book is essential for anyone who is new to the SLR camera - especially the DIGITAL SLR. It has helped me understand many of the terms and concepts associated with the SLR and the great thing is that I can take the book everywhere as it fits into pockets and bags. It covers things like exposure, aperture, film speed, white balance, metering then moves on to camera accessories - all types of lenses, filters etc. It also gives good explantions with photographs of popular techniques such as Rule of Thirds, Leading the Eye and Bracketing - I now understand this! Nearly half the book covers photographic assignments - landscapes, portraits, close-ups, nature, travel, buildings, still life etc. - just a few pages for each with the essential tips - no long paragraphs to wade through! Cheaper than most other books too.
