As an aviation fanatic, I also have a deep interest in, for want of a better description, "wrecks and relics". These aircraft usually have a very interesting history, and often a large amount of the challenge is locating them! Ken Ellis' publication is invaluable in the persuit of this pastime. He often gives a basic background of the aircraft listed, and highlights any changes that have been made. Basic directions are given to each entry, and a contact address/telephone number is noted wherever possible. The format of the book is very easy to understand. The entries are broken down into counties, and each location is listed alphabetically in each county. The book is also well illustrated with photos of the aircraft, many taken by enthusiasts who have merely sent the picture to Mr Ellis. Altogether, the book illustrates how many derelict aircraft exist in the UK, and is a MUST for any aircraft enthusiast.
