Truly brilliant

This book made me a fan of this writer, he has a totally original approach to biography writing. It is achingly funny and in some bits brilliantly insightful, in others it moves you along like a very peculiar adventure story, which is just what Mrs Westwoods life was like after all. I read that her brother threatened to punch Mr Vermorel on the nose over this book which says it all since this book is a punch on the nose for all those sycophants that are always surrounding the lady. In an interview I also read he said he write it to annoy the Guardian. I got more knowledge that seemed more real about the 60s here than all the clichs that usually are served up. Seems the only thing that swung in those legendary days was Mick Jaggers jockstrap!!!

i will be short and sweet. This book and Westwood are the reason for my fashion design passion. I would not be back in school if it were not for this inspirational book. It is now near to my heart and cannot imagine myself without having read his book.

Don't buy this book.

This is a really lame book by a self-seeking, delusional half-wit. If you've got nothing better to do you could look at it, but then why not buy some paint and watch it dry instead. Fred Vermorel needs to move beyond 1968 and realize that situationism is for tired, old has-beens. Why hasn't he read any social or cultural theory since 1972? This guy is a total waster.

I like Vivienne Westwood very much and I want to buy it. But Japan is very very few goods and very expensive. I am sad...
