Since this book was published over 20 years ago, it's no surprise that it appears dated compaired to other training books! However, some of the methods the author uses are still helpful and it contains some useful bits of information from a very experienced cockatoo owner. In summary, I'd recommend this book to be read in conjunction with other more recent training books because over the past 20 years aviculture has developed considerably and these amazing but VERY demanding birds deserve to have owners who are fully up to date on all the latest techniques!
