ONLY for those with some knowledge of French
|
I bought this book with the aim of brushing up my French which had been reasonably good years ago but had been forgotten. For that purpose it was perfectly good. But for those with little French it would be less useful, even if just used a reference tool(it is a grammar book after all and not a textbook). For instance there is absoulutely nothing on pronunciation and that could not be ignored in either a text book or a grammmar and some of the vocab is a little obscure..the French word for clay pigeon shooting in the first chapter???? Neither is it complete enough to be considered a good reference grammar. This book should only be considered by those who have or have had a certain level of French and wish to revise. As a textbook or complete reference grammar it is less than complete
