One word: amazing.

This book is amazing. It's as simple as that. I've just finished the Hirgana part of the book and it's firmly drilled into my head. The image recognition part is very good, even when the kana has no shape to be paired with, a scenario is created, including a keyword linked to the sound the kana makes. I'd say it's a unique remembering process (in Japanese reference books) and the only one to stick to when learning kana.
5 stars and highly reccomended.
