A very useful book

I found this book to be very useful. I am in my final year of uni and I have found a use for this book in all three years. It also has a lot of colourful, easy to understand diagrams that help you learn physiology.

Must have physiology

If you are looking for a book in order to learn physiology, look no further! This is the second edition from Germann & Stanfield incorporating excellent diagramatic interpretations of physiological processes to accompany the textual information.

The book has been designed with students in mind making it greatly accessible, with an interactive physiology CD-ROM to further instil knowledge. Throughout the book, discovery and clinical connections are made after each topic, relating physiological processes with abnormalities and diseases occuring in the human body - making it excellent for medical based degrees.

Although long winded in some areas explanations are relatively concise, with full colour explanatory and summary diagrams being perfect for understanding difficult topics and for last minute revision.

Clear, concise and great pictures

This was a recommened text book for a level 1 module at uni. I found it extremely clear and easy to understand and very much enjoyed the exercise links and the final chapter linking the physiology to exercise - very helpful in one of my assignments! The best thing though was the acess to the website which also is available on CD Rom at the front of the book. The Quizzes and activities were a great source of revision and really helped me with the final exam. I wish all books could offer this multi media format.
