The book starts with rules for pronounciation and the complete Russian (Cyrillic) alphabet. The phrases are organised by topic so you will quickly find what you need. Each topic includes a short introduction to the local customs. Things do work differently there, so this is useful. Phrases are listed in English and include the cyrillic translation as well as a transliteration (essential for pronounciation).

Besides the phrases there is also a "What you'll hear" and a "What you'll see" list for each topic. Here you will find a lot of useful information as well.

Finally at the back there is an English-Russian (transliteration) wordlist, which unfortunately does not include the Cyrillic spelling.

The only thing missing is a Russian-English wordlist. Very few people in Russian speak English, so such a list would be helpful if some-one is trying to explain something to you.

All in all, this is excellent value for money. I still use it as a quick reference in my Russian language classes.
